Crossroads Academy

Giving Treasure:  Donating treasure supports Crossroads Academy's  whole child approach to education.  In addition to meeting Arizona's educational requirements, Crossroads Academy offers layered-learning programs in character development, early career exploration and independent living skills on a tuition-free basis.  As we continue to increase the scope of our programs to a larger number of students, our operating costs continue to increase. Monetary donations could help with everything from keeping the lights on, to handling maintenance issues, to providing additional programming.

As we each consider the great things in our lives to be thankful for, we may be motivated to think of ways we can make a difference in the lives of others.

There are several ways to consider giving as giving can come in different ways

and are each very individual and equally beneficial.

Giving may be done in the forms of time, talent, and treasure.

It's easier than you think to make a difference in your community.  If you have TIME, TALENT or TREASURE that you'd like to donate, please click the button below and let us know you'd like to be a Difference Maker.

Giving Time:  The donation of time is highly valuable.  Without volunteers, we would be lost as communities, nations and globally.  But, lets think locally for a moment.  Young people need caring adults in their lives to help them make informed decisions, .  If you have the time to make a difference in a young persons life, you might clear a spot in your schedule to volunteer your time.  Perhaps you can chaperone an outing or an on-campus event, help with campus care during or campus breaks.

The Arizona State Tax Credit program allows you to do exactly that.  You can tell the State of Arizona that you would like to make a donation to an eligible organization, such as Crossroads Academy a Sequoia Choice Charter School, and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against any taxes you might owe to the State of Arizona.

Arizona law provides a tax credit for contributions to public schools in support of extracurricular activities (ECA) or character building education.  You can help Crossroads Academy’s students and possibly lower your tax bill by making a donation.

The state tax credit is available to ALL qualifying individual Arizona state taxpayers.  You do not need to have a child enrolled in school to take advantage of this state tax credit.  The deadline to make a donation is April 15, 2020. It is always best to consult a tax adviser to see if you qualify for the dollar-for-dollar credit.  A tax credit is different from a deduction because you may subtract the whole contribution from your Arizona state tax bill. An individual may contribute as much as $200.00, while a couple filing jointly may contribute as much as $400.00 to a public school and receive the money back in the form of a tax credit.

Your support of our students and programs is greatly appreciated!

Giving Talent:  Talent giving is taking the time to donate the unique and personal talents you have that others may not.  Do you have the time to be a Yearbook Advisor or Student Council Representative?  Could you lead an after-school club in cooking, art, sewing, or handling basic household repairs?  Are your skills in landscaping or handyman?
