Chelsey Duvall is the Enhanced Learning Programs Coordinator at Crossroads Academy.  Miss Duvall's love of people has led her to the study of Business Management with a focus on Human Resources with the long-term goal of opening her own business in childhood development.  She has worked in small group settings with general education and special education students, ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade.

This past year, Miss Duvall joined the Crossroads Academy team and has been instrumental in tutoring Junior High students  and developing and implementing new project-based learning programs for our elementary students, including Camp Crossroads which is running over the summer.  With a whole-child approach to education, Miss Duvall will begin the new academic year leading workshops in character development, independent living skills, and career exploration for the entire campus.  She will also coordinate the after-school clubs, field study projects, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and off-campus excursions.

In her free time, Miss Duvall enjoys reading, writing, cooking, hot air ballooning and volunteering her time helping others.  Her summers are typically spent volunteering at Camp Candlelight in Prescott, Arizona for children with epilepsy.

As an Academic Coach for our Junior High students, Monica Marker brings a wealth of experience in working with kids of all ages.  Her experience with children with special needs makes her uniquely qualified to find the talent in each student and encourage them to  always strive to be their best self.

As a big part of the Crossroads Academy program, character development is an area where Mrs. Marker possesses the ability to find the treasure in each child and help them build on that talent, encouraging them to strengthen their weaknesses and leverage their strengths towards future success.  With two young grandchildren as daily reminders, she is able to maintain discipline without crushing the curious nature of young minds.  It is especially important at this age to encourage the development of character skills and self-agency so they’re prepared to use their high school years as a springboard for post-secondary training and development.

In her free time, Mrs. Marker enjoys gardening, camping, swimming, movies and spending time with her grandchildren.  Being fairly new to the area from Iowa, she’s especially enjoying winters in Arizona.
